Troubleshooting
__________________________________________________________________________________
- Most problems are related with the graphic card drivers.
Please use the latest drivers for your video card.
- Some video drivers can produce "freezing" of
the game. This can happen if vsync option in video settings
is set to OFF, to avoid the problem turn it ON, as by default.
Some versions of video drivers are not working properly
when this option is turned off. Try to get an update of
your drivers or try with different version.
- Install the latest
version of DirectX. To run this game DirectX 8 or greater
is required.
- If you have NetMeeting installed, please disable it before
starting the game. In most cases DirectX will not work properly
when this program is active, and resolution changes won't
be possible. Check if DirectX is working properly (start
the DirectX test tool in Control panel).
- Before starting the game please close all other applications.
If the game still doesn't work properly, please
send us a description of the problem followed by information:
1. Processor type
2. RAM
3. Graphic card & driver version
4. Operating system & directX version
5. Sound card type
6. Additional info, if any
Thank you
Performance tips
__________________________________________________________________________________
- Use 16 Bpp mode. Note that the game will use desktop
color depth when played in a window. This could greatly
increase the performance.
- Use lower resolutions if action becomes choppy.
- Disable antialiasing and anisotropic filtering in your
graphic card properties menu (Display properties->Settings->
Advanced->"Graphic Card name"->additional
properties->OpenGL settings).
- Set the vertical sync to OFF in video settings section.
This could greatly increase the performance. However, this
can also cause game to "freeze" on some systems,
if this happens return it back to ON since your video driver
does not support it properly.
- Set "default color depth for textures" to "always
use 16 Bpp".
- Also, check if DirectX is working properly (start the
DirectX test tool in Control panel).
